CHITI (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal expense tracking application for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Personal Financial Data (Stored Locally Only)

• Income and expense transactions
• Transaction categories
• Transaction notes and amounts
• Transaction dates

Important: All financial data is stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your financial information on any remote servers.

2. Advertising Data (Collected by Google AdMob)

Our app displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device identifier (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• Approximate location (country/city level)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google AdMob for the purpose of displaying personalized advertisements.

Local Data Usage

• Transaction data is used solely for displaying your personal expense tracking
• Backup/restore feature allows you to export data to a local file (.chiti format)

• We do not control or have access to the data AdMob collects
• You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Google Ad Settings)

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All financial data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device
• Data is protected by Android’s app sandboxing security
• Optional PIN protection (4 digits) for app access
• Data is deleted when you uninstall the app

No Cloud Backup

• We do not provide automatic cloud backup
• You can manually backup data to local storage using the backup feature

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

• Purpose: Display advertisements
• Data Collected: Device ID, IP address, location (approximate), ad interactions
• Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Play Services

• Required for AdMob functionality
• Subject to Google’s privacy policy

Your Rights

• Delete: Clear all data through Settings or uninstalling the app

Children’s Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Data Retention

• Transaction Data: Retained locally until you delete it or uninstall the app
• AdMob Data: Retained according to Google AdMob’s policies
