Summary: CHITI stores all your financial data locally on your device. We DO NOT collect any personal information. Only Google AdMob collects Device ID to serve advertisements.

1. Introduction

CHITI ("we", "the app") is a personal expense tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

Name, email, phone number
Bank account information
Geographic location
Contacts
Photos, videos
Passwords or login credentials

3. Locally Stored Data

All transaction data, categories, PIN codes, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite database. We have no access to it, it does not sync to any server, and we do not back it up to the cloud automatically.

If you delete the app, all data will be lost. Please use the "Backup" feature before deleting.

4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): a device identifier used to serve relevant ads
Coarse location: based on IP address, not GPS

iOS 14+ will ask for tracking permission when you first open the app. You can Deny and the app will continue to work normally.

5. iOS Permissions

The app declares the following permissions in Info.plist (as required by Apple) but does NOT actually use them:

Camera, Microphone, Location, Contacts, Photo Library — Not used
App Tracking Transparency: only for AdMob (with user consent)

6. Backup & Restore

When you use the "Backup" feature:

The backup file is created locally on your device
You actively share the file via Email, AirDrop, iCloud Drive, etc.
We do not intervene in this process

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at this URL.
